Announcing Charmed 1.0
AI tools for 3D video game art, from idea to integration.

Today marks the official release of Charmed 1.0- our suite of end-to-end AI tools for creating 3D video game art. In a time of accelerating change, I couldn't be more excited for the future of games, and more broadly, the future of creativity.
If you've built a game before, you know it is rewarding, but it can be painstaking too. Games are complex beasts, requiring the integration of many domains of art and technology. Up until now that has either required big teams and very deep pockets or lots and lots of time to devote to every last detail. We're changing that with tools that make it easier than ever to bring your ideas to life.
Our apps- the Geometry Generator, Texture Generator, and 3D Animator- are designed to work together. With these tools it's possible to build a unique animated 3D character or other 3D assets quickly and easily. What's more, starting today all of these tools are available right on your smartphone!
Our bleeding-edge text-to-3D and image-to-3D tool is a great starting point for a new project. With the Geometry Generator, you can generate a custom 3D model in just a few minutes. Importantly, the preview process helps you rapidly iterate on designs to find the right object or character. Our "Riggable Character" mode ensures your character meshes are generated in a T-pose, for downstream rigging and skinning.
Create UV-unwrapped materials for your meshes- whether they're hand built in Blender or Maya, generated with Charmed, or found in our library of 150,000+ assets. Our Texture Generator is aware of fine geometry details and tuned to achieve the clearest results without projection warping. Add "multiple explorations" to your project in order to rapidly texture many meshes with matching styles, or to efficiently test many prompts in parallel. Once you're done, try the "Patch Tool" to make spot changes to your textures with AI assistance.
Reduce the frustrating rigging and skinning workload with the 3D Animator. Auto-rig human-like meshes and retarget animations that bring your characters to life.
Control your assets and workflow from the Project Navigator, which is a hub that connects our AI 3D art tools. This is a cloud based asset manager where you can control sharing, upload existing assets, and export everything to work offline or with other tools.
On top of all of that, starting today you'll be able to use all of these tools right from your smartphone. Whether you're waiting at the bus stop or between Wordle sessions, Charmed is now right there with you.
We put this end to end walkthrough together to illustrate how these pieces fit together to take you from an idea to a usable game asset. While that's pretty cool, it's not where we're stopping. Assets need to be integrated into engines like Unity, Unreal, or Roblox, or edited in art tools like Blender or Maya before they can become games. You can see an example in this video, explaining how to build a Roblox NPC using animated characters generated by our tools (with a little help from Blender):
We brought this all together in Lava Glider Island , our first playable experiment built with Charmed assets.
